An exploration of wetland science, an interdisciplinary field at the interface of terrestrial and aquatic ecology, chemistry, hydrology and engineering. The course emphasizes biological, physical, chemical, and ecological aspects of major wetland ecosystems, and addresses ecosystem services, classification, legal protection of wetlands, drivers of change, and wetland restoration and management.
