Exploring sensory, environmental and creative processes and production focused on the human/machine interface in the context of German-speaking media studies past and present. Emphases on concepts such as aesthetics, authorship, the anthropocene, media ecology, experimentation, imagination and creativity. Course materials include a variety of historical and contemporary texts, films, images and other media and integrating active, invention-oriented participation taking place at a variety of locations across campus. Taught in English.
