4354. Nanostructural Characterization - Scattering

3.00 credits

Prerequisites: CHEG 2103 and CHEG 2111; MATH 2110Q and MATH 2410Q.

Grading Basis: Graded

Introduces the theory, methods and application of scattering (X-ray, neutron and light) for nano-structural characterizations. Scattering is one of the most important tools in probing the global (average) nanoscale structures of materials, a complementary method to microscopy, which reveals local structures via micrographic images.
