The interconnected relationship between business and the broader economic, political, social, and environmental forces in society. Highlights the continuing responsibility of organizations through various ethical and socially responsible theories and also a company’s obligation to respect human rights. Business practices are examined that contribute or alleviate systems of exclusion and oppression, including racism, gender discrimination, and economic inequality. Strategies that businesses can implement to support social inclusion, civic engagement, and equitable economic participation will be identified and analyzed.
