3210. Accounting Information Systems and Data Analytics

Prerequisites: ACCT 3201 or BADM 3201, which may be taken concurrently; open only to business majors of junior or higher status.

Grading Basis: Graded

Explores the role of accounting information systems in supporting business decision-making and organizational performance. Emphasis is placed on business process analysis, data modeling, relational databases, internal controls, and data analytics. Students will apply these skills within an accounting framework, in areas such as financial reporting, auditing, and cost accounting.
